Behind the Shot #9Escape from Rockford… October 2009 >> It was rainy, cold, and windy on this night. Not an ideal situation for shooting obviously. Nevertheless, I'd always had my eye on this abandoned gas station; drove by it countless times over the years. And then one day, I parked, set-up, waited, and started shooting. Honestly, I over-shot it. I was there nearly two hours if memory serves, shooting from before sunset until it was completely dark. Traffic got heavier as the sun went down, and people were driving home from work. The later it got, the harder the rain came down. My fingers turned white and were numb. But I persevered. I'm glad I did. Today, this is just an empty lot. I'm sure something else will get built there, but it's unlikely it will look like this... Comments
